Full text not available from this repository.Abstract
According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the United Nations in 1948, everyone has the right to free and compulsory education, “at least in the elementary and fundamental stages…directed to the full development of the human personality and to the strengthening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms” (United Nations, 2015). In short, education is a democratizing catalyst that enhances choice, individual welfare, and productivity by increasing access and equity of opportunity. This Webinar session shall discuss the democratization of education in developing countries, particularly Malaysia at the primary and secondary levels, and the tertiary level. Lastly, the Webinar session shall reassess whether the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the democratisation policies of these developing countries, and if so, and if so, what are the future directions.
