Abstract
This study examines the effects of self leadership, knowledge sharing, and innovative work behavior on company performance at Ranchan Maritime Sdn Bhd, one of the key players in Malaysia’s maritime industry. The research was conducted to address challenges related to employee productivity, leadership adaptability, and organizational resilience, particularly in the post-COVID-19 era. The main objectives of the study are to: (i) evaluate organizational performance, (ii) examine the influence of self-leadership, knowledge sharing, and innovative behavior on company performance, and (iii) identify managerial challenges in promoting these factors comprehensively within a dynamic competitive environment. The research design employs a qualitative approach using a case study and exploratory method. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with management personnel and secondary data from industry reports and previous studies. Thematic analysis was used to identify recurring patterns and themes emphasizing adaptability, risk management, collaboration, and innovation. The findings reveal that self-leadership enhances employees’ confidence and autonomy, thereby encouraging proactive problem solving. Knowledge sharing serves as a catalyst for collective learning and cross departmental collaboration. Innovative work behavior positively impacts operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and long-term competitiveness. However, challenges such as change management, technology alignment, and sustained employee engagement were identified. Overall, this study underscores the importance of integrating self-leadership, knowledge sharing, and innovative behavior as key determinants of company performance in the maritime sector.
